The thrill of having A Job

Having something of a job to do and somewhere to go for it every morning is indeed a thrill. But to really enjoy the pure satisfaction of being entrusted with the responsibility of performing a job, you have to experience the boredom of joblessness. One has to really experience the helpless state of being without something to do and without money to spend as wished. And one has to experience the pain of indignation, the sharp and cruel barbs inflicted by those dear and near, those who stand aloof, blaming you and frequently harping on the numerous points they see for your jobless state. In their words “a useless fool!” and who is seen as a person coming for a favour, mostly for money. Their hasty judgement in such situations could often ruin a young mind.
The mind is cruelly hurt. Feeling ashamed and helpless, the scorching thoughts of running away and doing something rash easily influences it. Unless the mind is braced up to shoulder the punch, often the seeming temporary solace offered by alcohol or drugs extended in charity by someone could easily influence it. The unhappy and frail condition of the mind thus tortured naturally paves the way to its disaster.
The capability of the human mind to absorb and store, analyse and understand and erase is quite remarkable... God has installed the most sophisticated Super computer in us and it is up to us to learn to harness it to our requirements. So, instead of succumbing in the face of the blame game, you have to carefully analyse your situation and one by one find out the ways to haul you upwards. Brace up. Breathe in several times. Let the oxygen flow freshen your mind. Then  THINK ! A solution will definitely appear.
When we feel happy, our mind becomes elated and maintains a state of bliss and ecstasy. In the same manner an air filled balloon effortlessly floats in the air, the mind also drifts to very peaceful and very pleasant state when happy.
When the mind is filled with dark moods, it reflects its ugliness on the face. On the contrary, a cheerful face can easily win many hearts. That’s why our great Gurus advise us to keep a big smile always on your face.
There is a time of dark moods for almost everyone. Then it is up to us to realise our bad times and adjust accordingly and keep still. After sometime, these foul moods will pass and the Sun will come out of the clouds and shine bright and make everything pleasant for us. The art of forgetting and forgiving is something everyone has to learn. Harping on the previous shortcomings of a person will not do any good. Instead, forget and forgive.
Money and wealth are worldly possessions that are perishable. To think that money and wealth will always sustain you is incorrect. In the words of a Great Saint and Poet Shri Poonthanam, ‘’ Desires can never be satiated. When you get ten, you yearn for a hundred. And when you get a hundred, you desire for a thousand!  Behold! Behold that at the time of you depart this world, you cannot take with you even the cloth you wear! All that you have accumulated and claimed selfishly for yourself is just left behind for another to enjoy or waste!
It is therefore foolish to clamour for wealth and money. They are not materials of permanent nature.  They do not herald their arrival nor do they bid farewell when they depart from us.
Of course anyone, however rich his family backgrounds are,one has to carve out a niche for himself, so that he may be remembered by others later. Only then the latent qualities in him can be there for others to understand and imbibe. Only then his name will be written in golden letters for everyone to read.
For that to happen, hard work is quite essential. You cannot expect immediate results. It is very hard and honest work that finally churns out pay dirt! Think not of the outcome, just keep going and you will find yourself at the top! Like a mountaineer, who looks only for the chinks and the next higher grip his fingers can clutch for his safe ascent, you should not worry about the future. Failures may await you but remember that they are the harbingers of sure success. Every successful person leaves behind him a long trail of failures which is erased and forgotten when he reaches the summit of Success! Failures teach you and guide you to success. So, do not be disheartened by them. JUST PUSH ON!
